Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, sometimes abbreviated as SVG, is a state of the Lesser Antilles, in the Caribbean region, located west of Barbados, between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Lucia and Grenada. It is, like the two latter, and four other States in the region, part of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States to which it acceded in 1981.
This state is made up of the main island of Saint Vincent and a string of smaller islands, which make up a large part of the Grenadines archipelago to the south. The main ones are (from north to south): Bequia, Baliceaux, Mosquito, Canouan, Mayreau, Tobago Cays, Union and Petit-Saint-Vincent. This last island marking the limit with Grenada.
The inhabitants of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are called Vincentais, Saint Vincentais or Saint Vincent and Grenadins.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a member of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA) since 2009.

- “Saint Vincent and the Grenadines” with a hyphen separating terms as well as French toponymic names is used by the IGN, the European Union and the International Labor Organization; this form is “recommended” by the French decree of 4 November 1993 on the terminology of state and capital names, which also indicates the “Saint-Vincent” variant;
- “Saint Vincent and the Grenadines”, by juxtaposition of “Saint Vincent” and “the Grenadines”, is used by ISO, INSEE and Swiss diplomacy;
- “Saint Vincent and the Grenadines” is used by the United Nations.
