One of the trips we are considering for next year in Peru and Machu Pichu. I wasn’t sure if we would hike some of it, as we are 60 somethings who just hiked all over New Zealand. I am not sure I would be okay with your accommodations. Knowing that, I will look at alternative ways to get to Machu Pichu.
